THE SAN MARCOS RIVER IS THE PEARL OF TEXAS Fed by the Edwards Aquifer, the San Marcos River begins at Spring Lake in San Marcos, Texas. Four miles downstream it's joined by the Blanco River and 80 miles later the San Marcos River runs into the Guadalupe River, which flows into the Gulf of Mexico. All totaled, this is a 260 mile stretch of combined rivers that make up the course of the world famous Texas Water Safari. Because the river is spring fed, it remains a constant year 'round temperature of 72 degrees. The springs have never failed to produce so recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and, of course, canoeing and kayaking are always available. THIS IS WHAT WE DO. We rent canoes and kayaks for 2, 5, and 7 mile trips on the San Marcos River. We also furnish shuttle service of personal watercraft. With nearly 30 years of combined experience, we rig and repair canoes and kayaks of all kinds and materials. We provide canoe and kayak instruction and keep between 100 and 200 new, name brand canoes and kayaks in stock, ready for purchase. Need accessories? We've got'em.
