Pecos River near Pandale Texas: The Pecos River at Pandale is incredibly remote and desert like. There is no cell phone service and no fuel stations within 50 miles, so go prepared. You will traverse many miles of harsh gravel roads on your way to the bridge, 10-15 mph was a common speed for me. I explored 3.7 miles of this breathtaking landscape, by paddling upstream then coming back down to my truck.
